The BMI or the Body Mass Index is also known as Quetelet index. This value is derived from the mass and height of the person or individual. The BMI of the individual is calculated by dividing the body mass by the square of the height of the person and the unit is expressed in unit of kg/m^{2}. The unit is this because of mass being in kilograms and height in meters.
